Gullivers Glow Walk Nov 2024

The event on Sunday 10 November is part of the Land of Lights festival being held at Gulliver’s World Theme Park Resort this winter.

It is expected to draw thousands of participants, who are invited to dress in their best ‘glow’ outfit and walk the enchanting lantern trail, at their own pace, while exploring the many magical displays on show – all while raising money for such a worthwhile cause.

On Glow Walk night, £2 of every ticket sale for Land of Lights will go direct to BBC Children in Need, which has its official appeal on Friday, November 15. Those taking part in the Glow Walk can download a BBC Children in Need sponsorship form to ask for their own donations from family and friends and help raise even more money.

Tickets for the Glow Walk include a ‘Challenge accomplished’ certificate for every participant and those dressed in glow accessories will receive a free ticket to any of the four Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts around the UK, for use in early 2025.

Land of Lights, which runs from 9 November 2024 until 4 January 2025, was recently named winner of the gold award for best new event at the UK Theme Park Awards. It is also being staged at Gulliver’s World’s sister park, Gulliver’s Resort in Milton Keynes.

This year’s event promises to be a breathtaking spectacle, featuring an all-new collection of lanterns for 2024. This year's theme, WonderWild, reimagines nature's most majestic creatures and wonders, offering visitors a unique blend of animal-inspired artistry with a fantastical twist.

Guests will walk a one-mile trail, exploring a superb array of incredible lanterns and displays suitable for all ages. The experience features an eclectic mix of music and entertainment as well as a selection of street food and seasonal drinks.

Ross Partridge, Land of Lights festival manager, said: “Last year’s Glow Walk exceeded our expectations and the excitement for this year’s event is growing as the big day draws near. It is wonderful to again be raising money for BBC Children in Need, which is a national institution and supports so many great causes.

“We look forward to seeing as many people as possible dressed up in bright, shiny clothing for the Glow Walk – young or old, whatever your level of fitness, it’s an event suitable for everyone – just don’t forget, running is not allowed!”
