This website is run by Warrington Borough Council for Warrington & Co. We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. For example, that means you should be able to:

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

There are some forms that are not labelled correctly in the HTML and some have the same element name, we will work to make these compliant by the end of June 2021.

Disproportionate burden

It’s not possible for users to change text size or font colour, this is part of the content management system, the site has been designed to be read by screen readers and can be scalable in browsers.

We’ve assessed the cost of fixing the issues with font size and colours. We believe that doing so now would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Live video

We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting the accessibility regulations.
