We are a bespoke software development company from Cheshire.

· What sets you apart from the competition?

We are local, stable, well-established, and we’ve seen it all before.

· How did the business come about?

We both worked at the IT headquarters of one of the big four banks, and we found the corporate environment stifling, so we formed our own company to get exciting things done quicker!

· What are your main target markets?

We’ve worked in HR and recruitment, logistics, utility brokerage, manufacturing digitization, video streaming, photo auditing, satellite navigation and route planning, but we can help anyone whose business has outgrown the mountain of spreadsheets they currently run it from.

· How long has your business been in existence?

Since 2000, so 23 years.

· How many staff do you employ?

Ten.

· What job or achievement makes you most proud?

We wrote an applicant tracking system that has been used by nearly a million people.

· Where do you see the business being in five years?

Self-reliant, turning over £5m without our day-to-day involvement.

· Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us?

We were offering a platform for people to post their own videos online in 2001, four years before YouTube existed.

· Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc)

Rob started his career in theatre, designing lights and sound, working at the Exchange Theatre in Manchester and the Zurich Opera house, and he is a sailing “wannabe”.

In 1981, Simon flew a Boeing 720 full of passengers from Malta to the UK, when he was 14 years old!

Rob would like Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Winston Churchill, Jools Holland, Albert Einstein, Sarah Millican, Mary Queen of Scots (!) and an extra chair!
