- Name of Business Rightstep Coaching
- Who are you? Catherine Cooke, Divorce Coach.
- What sets you apart from the competition? I've been through my own divorce. I was also a primary school headteacher so have lots of experience of working with children and families.
- How did the business come about? I was previously looking at an early retirement plan so I trained as a coach and specialised in divorce coaching. I started the business as a side hustle and then decided to focus on coaching full time and left my headship well before my retirement age.
- What are your main target markets? Professionals and entrepreneurs who are considering, going through, or recovering from a divorce. I would also love to work with businesses to help them understand how divorce can affect people at work and how best to support their employees.
- How long has your business been in existence? 3 years
- How many staff do you employ? Just me at the moment!
- What job or achievement makes you most proud? The positive impact I have had on families in crisis both in my teaching career and in divorce coaching.
- Where do you see the business being in five years? Training others to do the work I do.
- Tell us one interesting thing about the business that might surprise us? Not many people have heard of divorce coaching but it is a rapidly growing industry.
- Tell us one interesting thing about you that people might not know? (ie, hobbies, amusing fact, etc) I used to be able to play the piano really well. I decided in my teen years that it wasn't cool and gave it up. Regret it now!
