Joanna Davies-Bate who is the manager at that nursery was so pleased that her nursery had been accepted as a suitable site.
The defibrillator is attached to a wall on the outside of the nursery and is in close proximity to a housing estate and industrial estate. Dunky’s enjoy working with the local community and they are therefore proud to have been chosen and trusted to house the defib. They are currently in talks to have another one fitted to their nursery in Farnworth.
All their staff at Dunky’s are First Aid Trained and hold a full and relevant certificate for 3 years before they are required to renew it. Defib training is included in this course.
Dunky's would like word to get around that they have this defib installed at the nursery as people need to be aware that they can access it if required in an emergency. It could save a life!!
