Department’s growth continues as team goes from ‘strength to strength’
North West law firm Aaron & Partners has made a key hire to its Restructuring & Insolvency Team, as the department’s impressive growth continues.
Matthew Martin has been appointed as an Associate Solicitor and joins as the seventh member of the Restructuring & Insolvency Team, which was formed and is headed up by Mark Davies, an experienced Partner with national recognition.
A specialist in corporate insolvency and contentious matters, Matthew joins the Altrincham-based office from Clarke Willmott.
His appointment is the latest announcement for the growing department, following hot on the heels of the key hire of Solicitor Adila Malik, who has experience in both corporate and personal insolvency as well as civil litigation. With their combined experience and expertise, both new hires will play key roles in driving the department’s success and expanding its reach.

During his career, Matthew has regularly acted for insolvency practitioners, creditors and directors on a wide range of contentious insolvency matters including wrongful and fraudulent trading claims, antecedent transactions, and bankruptcy and winding up petitions.
In 2020, he also passed the High Courts (Civil Advocacy) Qualification, which entitles him to exercise the rights of audience in all civil proceedings in the higher courts of England and Wales. Since then, he has regularly conducted case management hearings, final hearings and more.
Outside of work, Matthew is a passionate runner and has achieved multiple sub three-hour marathons, gaining him entry into many of the world’s major marathons as a time qualifier.
